Consensus Tool: Demo

This app uses OpenAI's GPT-3.5-TURBO API to assess students' responses stored on Google Spreadsheets. It is currently in development, so please send us any feedback at gjara@hks.harvard.edu. The app does not store data, and OpenAI's API data usage policies are available at OpenAI API data policies. Created by Dan & Gonzalo.

  1. Your Google spreadsheet must be public and shared with 'anyone with the link'.
  2. Paste Google spreadsheet URL in the input field and click 'Load Data'.
  3. For multiple sheets, select the desired sheet and click 'Load Data' again.
  4. Choose the answers and (optional) students' names columns.
  5. (Optional) For custom question prompt, check the box and enter the question. Otherwise, the column name is used.
  6. Explain how to summarize the ideas.
  7. Explain how to identify specific answers.
  8. (Optional) Check 'Explanation for why...' to understand the model's choices.
  9. (Optional) Check 'Include commons mistakes analysis' to get common mistakes and misconceptions in the answers.
  10. Click 'Run analysis' and wait.
